Kforce is working with a client in search of an IT Infrastructure Architect in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Overview:
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect to join the Global Information Systems (GIS) team at a corporate center in Pittsburgh, PA. This role will be part of the infrastructure team, working closely with fellow architects and business representatives to guide the development and management of all technical and infrastructure solutions. The IT Infrastructure Architect will contribute to the design of efficient, value-adding business solutions, creating artifacts to help develop target-state guidance, including standards, guidelines, platforms, and configurations for evolving technical infrastructure across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to assess potential use-cases and impact on the enterprise and existing architecture
Collaborate with business representatives, process owners, and subject matter experts to design efficient and value-adding business solutions
Evaluate infrastructure technology roadmaps against internal and external environments to maintain a clear technology direction
Drive technology investment decisions to ensure value-added business outcomes while meeting nonfunctional requirements
Assess the technical environment for critical deficiencies, identifying opportunities for flexibility and scalability improvements
Define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value
Align technical architecture with business and IT strategies to meet future growth and needs, leveraging new, existing, and emerging technologies
Assist in designing governance and standards for technology architecture compliance on projects and products
Oversee technology changes, updates, and implementations
Maintain artifacts, such as architecture diagrams, policies, and standards within the infrastructure space
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Analysis, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT design and implementation with knowledge in at least three technical disciplines, such as operating systems, servers and storage, network design fundamentals, clustering technologies, virtualization, and Active Directory
Strong understanding of lifecycle management, configuration management, impact, and risk analysis
Knowledge of enterprise architecture components, system security, backup, recovery systems, and disaster recovery best practices
Proficient in IT standards and controls
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle complex issues efficiently
Exceptional communication skills for effectively conveying information at all organizational levels
Well-developed interpersonal skills for building trusting relationships and collaborating cross-functionally
Business acumen in manufacturing processes and systems
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills; Capable of swift risk assessment and strategic action
Ability to address technical and architectural debt

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, system analysis, or a related field
Experience with modeling languages (e.g., UML, ArchiMate)
Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Understanding of cloud technologies and architecture
Familiarity with database operations
Knowledge of NIST 800-171, DFARS, Export Control, or CMMC 2.0 requirements and standards
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
