Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama’s Housing department is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Aide I. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Cleans University Housing areas both upstairs and downstairs by performing general cleaning duties to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing and vacuuming.
  • Disposes of waste paper, washes windows and replace supplies.
  • Dusts and cleans where care must be taken that certain papers and materials are not destroyed.
  • Cleans appliances and dehumidifiers.
  • Reports structural and equipment damage that requires repair to supervisor.
  • Moves furniture and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Delivers supplies and runs errands via a University golf cart.
  • Scrubs and cleans restroom areas, commodes, and urinals.
  • Applies deodorizers and germicides, refills soap dispensers, toilet tissue and paper towel holders.
  • Polishes mirrors, plumbing fixtures and cleans light covers.
  • Uses ladder to clean fixtures, covers, windows, glass dividers, etc.
  • Follows appropriate handling procedures for bio hazardous materials.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
