How You Will Contribute:



The Senior Manager, Systems / Hardware Engineering is responsible for ensuring engineering projects are developed on-time, following the established product development process (PDI). They will lead and contribute to process development and improvement. This position will be responsible for establishing reliability engineering process and driving reliability engineering activities during product development. They are involved in all phases of development from initial concept to manufacturing & field support. This role will interface with internal and external customers routinely in the development of new projects and products.



What You Will Do:



  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects through the product development process from cradle to grave

  • Improve existing product development process & develop new processes to support increased efficiency and quality including:

    • Improved requirements / dvt documentation / traceability

    • Established risk analysis/management process

    • Streamlining of PDI process for internal customers



  • Establish and lead reliability engineering process

  • Develops more junior engineers



  • Interfaces with customers (internal & external) to efficiently handle escalations, Define requirements, communicate schedule, etc




What You Will Bring:



  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • 7+ years of engineering experience with products or equipment with significant robotics, electromechanical mechanisms, or automation.

  • 4+ years experience leading multi-disciplinary teams

  • Completed a minimum of 2 product life cycles (from concept to production) as a project lead

  • Working knowledge of ISO13485

  • Statistics and reliability analysis expertise. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented while being flexible, open, and able to adapt to changing priorities




Bonus Experience



  • Design of hardware for use in ultra-low temperature environments (-80C)

  • Familiarity with industrial robots, vision systems, end-effectors, etc

  • Familiarity with software development process


Working Conditions



  • Occasional travel (< 15%) is expected depending on the project phase

  • Hybrid work (3 days / week onsite in Billerica, MA)
