Who are we looking for?
Our Midcon Environmental business is looking for a Senior Project Manager (Natural Resources) to join their Natural Resources team based out of Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you will help lead a growing team of ecologists/scientists, manage projects, interface with clients, assist in the collection of biological data and prepare environmental reports and permit applications for federal, state, and local government agencies. This role requires a "seller-doer" who can balance business development responsibilities with project obligations and personnel mentorship.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners
Lead technical projects: maintaining client satisfaction while ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budge
Mentoring and training junior staff
Conduct field assessments including wetland delineations and habitat assessments for rare, threatened or endangered flora and fauna
Collect chemical and biological data including sampling of surface water, sediment, macroinvertebrates, soil, groundwater, etc. for purposes of site assessment and/or to support risk assessment projects
Write and produce technical reports based on field data collection
Liaise with federal, state, and municipal regulatory agencies
Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their project needs
What you will bring to the team:
Approximately ten (10) years of experience in environmental consulting, or similar experience
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Biology, Ecology or related field
Experience with managing/mentoring staff
Professional certification such as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), or similar preferred
Expertise with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Able and willing to travel to job sites as needed for field activities
