Specific responsibilities will depend on your qualifications and experience and can include:
- Completing studies, designs, and supporting construction by working closely with senior project engineers, project managers, principals, agencies, and clients
- Performing design calculations, alternative analyses, and economic evaluations
- Capturing and analyzing data and making recommendations
- Developing roadway, intersection, active transportation, utility and other infrastructure designs
- Completing site development designs including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and entitlements
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, planners, and scientists
- Leading or supporting meetings and workshops, including project progress meetings, pre-bid and pre-construction, and public meetings
- Maintaining productive communication with project team members
- Managing project resources and monitoring scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Solving issues and providing solutions for clients, regulators, funders, and the public
- Leading and/or managing projects and project teams
- Leading or assisting with business development
- Play a crucial role in creating a positive work environment by coaching and mentoring junior staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Provide professional assistance to our construction management team in Redding, ensuring accurate inspections, calculations, and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field.
- 8+ years of industry experience.
- Licensed California PE.
- Additional certifications or skills in relevant software and tools are a plus.
- Strong foundation and proficiency across multiple software design platforms. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation a plus.
- Experience with AASHTO and Caltrans design standards.
- Experience with commercial and residential project land development is a plus.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions, including the exercise of sound professional judgment, commercial acumen, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience at all stages of the project life cycle: preparing bids, feasibility studies, detailed design, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely convey complex issues and collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Salary Range: $ 106,000 -160,000 based on experience.
