The Senior Manager, Materials, Supply Chain, and Logistics is responsible for strategically planning and scheduling material/production needs. This leader coordinates and expedites the flow of materials from suppliers to manufacturing departments and between Cell Culture Media sites according to production schedules. They also coordinate the shipment of finished goods to regional distribution centers and directly to customers. Recognized as a professional expert, leading a team and a complex function, regularly influencing senior management, and developing and implementing systemwide strategic business plans for their organization.



This position reports to the Plant Manager and is part of Logan, Utah's Cell Culture Media Operations team. It will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.




What you will do:


With a safety-first mindset, I lead the material planning, production scheduling, and logistics/warehouse team to execute material supply activities and receive shipping and material control/cycle counts in key factory process areas.


Ensure material availability to support the production schedule needs to meet customer demand while driving with a continuous improvement mindset to meet competitive lead-time (CLT) and on-time delivery (OTD) to customer request date (CRD).



  • Lead the Receiving and Warehousing processes to strive to ensure 100% accurate and timely receiving of components and transactions from stock to production or sources external to the factory.

  • Collaborate with Finance to execute cycle count processes and/or annual physical inventory counts. Working with others, problem-solve deviations with action plans to resolve issues and track progress.

  • Coordinate with Operations Management, SIOP, Demand Management, Materials Planning, and Sourcing to align lead times to the required inventory plans to maintain the facility's needs and ensure this is reflected in the ERP/MRP system (Plan For Every Part - PFEP).

  • Coordinate with S&OP processes, including tools such as PSI and RCCP, to support demand, supply, finance, and logistics requirements, ensuring alignment between volume/mix plans and planning/demand time fences.

  • Advocate for utilizing Danaher Business Systems (DBS) in everyday activities. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supply chain performance (OTD%, $PDBL, $inventory, Inventory Turns), identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Assure all visual factory / Daily Management boards are accurately updated on time.




Who you are:



  • A bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of direct experience in place of education is preferred; APICS Certification is preferred.

  • 5+ years of inventory control experience in the life sciences/health care manufacturing environment; Oracle ERP experience is preferred.

  • Proven ability to measure and drive accountability and improvements through the Danaher Materials System or similar lean inventory controls, such as point-of-use supplies, single-piece flow, supermarkets, reorder points, etc.

  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing supply chain team members to build a high-performing and collaborative workforce. Ensure the supply chain organization is developed through organization design and succession planning.

  • Proven ability to manage complexity and prioritization. Improvise and dynamically lead the team through cross-functional collaboration, project management & problem-solving.

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and procedures, ISO9000, and other regulatory requirements and how they impact manufacturing.

  • Significant Microsoft Excel capability and the ability to perform statistical calculations.

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.



This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
