Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversees other Product Support Specialist to ensure that our dealer / customer base is getting the level of support that they need.
Works collaboratively with team members to identify, assess, and provide feedback to the organization to improve work processes, identify gaps, and ensure procedures are in compliance with company policies and standards
Prepares and distributes weekly reports on outstanding issues related to Taylor Power products.
Participates in the development and revision of department policy and operation procedures.
Represents the group as primary contact with internal or external customers.
Participates in the planning, selection, retention, and development of product support specialist.
Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques.
Prepares performance evaluations of team staff members as needed.
Prepare and present documentation on generator issues with management and customers.
Ability to track and trend problems and identify solutions.
Effectively communicates with vendor to align mission and objectives.
Must have a service oriented focus.
Must be well organized and able to prioritize.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Five (5) years' experience as a field service repairman, preferably of industrial generators.
Certificate of Completion of studies in mechanical and/or related field may substitute for two years of field experience.
Tact, courtesy, and complete integrity is a must in dealing with the customer base.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as diagnostic software.
Education and Experience:
High School Education or GED equivalent
Sales experience preferred.
