John Pappajohn Pavillion (1JPE) is a 4-bed inpatient unit with 4 beds for adults experiencing psychiatric symptoms related to mood disorders, thought disorders and, in some cases, co-occurring intellectual disabilities with psychiatric overlay. Patients are the most acutely ill and tend toward more dysregulated behavior than other adult units. Behavior management plans are supported by psychology professionals. The unit is routinely staffed with Registered Nurses, Psychiatric Nursing Assistants, and Behavioral Health Consultants within a treatment team that includes therapists, physicians, and social workers.
Percent of Time: 60-100%
Schedule: 24-40 hours per week, variable days Monday - Friday.
Location: Roy Carver Pavilion (University Campus)
Rotations: Rotating days of the week, rotating every other weekend, and rotating holidays
Salary: $36,000 to commensurate (not including inpatient or shift differential)

Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of $5,000 per year
