This role is supporting the space systems division of one of our longest partners in our 28 years of staffing in Aerospace and Defense. This program builds satellites and spacecraft that do amazing things in space for government and commercial customers. You will be working with a team whose satellites give earlier warning of severe weather, connect troops on the battlefield, and deliver GPS directions to a billion people worldwide. Responsibilities:
Manage the initial setup and ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring security compliance across Linux, Windows, and network domains.
Collaborate with the program team to define business requirements and implement software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
Administer operating systems, handle system lifecycle management, and perform network diagnostics.
Use virtualization tools like VMWare or Hyper-V to optimize system performance and manage secure communications for LAN, WAN, and voice systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues while designing strategies to prevent future occurrences.
Implement scripting and automation solutions (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) and manage container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly required.
CompTIA Security+ certification or a DoD 8572-qualified higher certificate.
U.S. Citizenship required for facility access.
Experience in operating systems lifecycle management, configuration management, and security management across Linux and Windows environments.
Proficiency with virtualization tools (VMWare, Hyper-V) and network diagnostics.
Experience with vulnerability remediation tools (e.g., Nessus, Splunk, ACAS, etc.) and scripting languages (Ansible, Perl, Bash, PowerShell).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with storage and restoration services (NetApp/EMC, disaster recovery practices).
Knowledge of routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and switching protocols.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Network Access Control (NAC) with Cisco ISE.
Proficiency in network management platforms (e.g., SolarWinds) and SAN environments with multiple OSs.
