Job Description:

Salary/Position Classification


  • 17.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

  • 10 hours per week

  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No

  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No


Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Configure flight simulation software on the Aviation Department's VAPT device

  • Integrate software and hardware solutions to provide simulation experiences that are useful to Aviation students and faculty

  • Support classroom use of the VAPT for selected courses (327, 428, etc.)

  • Work with Aerospace Network staff and Aviation Department faculty to develop training solutions

Minimum Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of PC-based flight simulation software, specifically Lockheed Martin Prepar3D

  • Experience with using additional software tools and plugins to create a functional multi-monitor flight deck environment

  • Experience integrating physical flight controls and other flight deck hardware into a PC-based flight simulation

  • Background in aviation

  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
