Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and/or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department.
Clinical responsibilities may include performing developmental and behavioral assessments and provide follow up care including pharmacologic treatment and brief behavioral interventions in an outpatient setting.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing collaborative and independent research programs related to developmental or behavioral aspects of pediatric care, the genetic or other etiologies of development and behavioral conditions, or the delivery of health services in the field. Other expectations include supervision of postdoctoral fellows, resident, students, and research staff, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators, and participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.
