Job Summary:



The Temporary Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support to the Academic Director and to the Executive Director of Harris Policy Labs, the Harris School's experiential learning program.



Responsibilities:



  • Assist with program application intake, review, and tracking, and assist with student communication related to same.


  • Create and update program databases, program files, and program materials.


  • Assist with additional administrative and operational duties as needed.





Additional Requirements





Education, Experience or Certifications:




Education:



  • Bachelor's degree required.





Experience:



  • 1-2 years professional experience in project management and/or program support required.


  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.


  • Strong writing skills required.


  • Basic data analysis skills required.


  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively required.


  • Experience with Box.com and/or Qualtrics preferred.


  • Experience in higher education, including with systems and systems support, and with graduate student and faculty interaction preferred.


  • Familiarity with University of Chicago(preferred.





Working Conditions:



  • In-office with occasional option for remote.
