Support production operations by performing preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of steel deck production equipment, as well as repairs and maintenance of facility.
Essential Duties:
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical/mechanical systems.
Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment of all manufacturing equipment.
Comply with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program
Perform general building repairs and maintenance
Other duties as assigned.
Must have extensive electrical knowledge
Strong PLC and VFD knowledge/experience.
Experience in welding, fabricating and mechanical equipment repairs
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical panels (120V, 240V, 480V) and electric motors and drives
Ability to read measurements accurately.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Must have basic knowledge of lock out / tag out and PPE.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects, tools, controls and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must have normal color vision.
Work Environment
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts;
Work may be performed in high places and/or in outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
