Ledgent is partnering with a prestigious and growing financial services firm in Tampa, FL, to help them find an experienced Senior Tax Accountant. Position Overview:


The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and preparing a wide range of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns. You will also support clients with tax planning, research, and consulting, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a key role within the firm that offers both technical challenge and the opportunity to mentor junior team members.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


• Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients, advising on complex tax matters.


• Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to client work.


• Conduct detailed research on tax issues and communicate findings effectively.


• Assist clients during tax audits and help resolve any outstanding tax issues.


• Manage multiple client relationships and projects while meeting deadlines.


• Review and mentor junior staff, providing training and guidance as needed.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of client service.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA designation strongly preferred).


• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, ideally in public accounting or a corporate tax environment.


• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and laws.


• Experience with tax software (ProSystem FX, CCH, QuickBooks, or similar).


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients effectively.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $85,000-$95,000
