Systems and Infrastructure Administrator - Contract - Minneapolis, MN


Position Overview:
The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting the core technologies used within our company. Under general supervision, this role ensures the stability and security of the systems and network environment. The Infrastructure Administrator also serves as a technical escalation point for roles including Systems Administrator, Technical Support Analyst, and IT Intern.


This is a 3-6 month contract role with potential for conversion to direct hire. It will be based in-office in Minneapolis, MN with hybrid flexibility after an initial training period.


Key Responsibilities:
Systems Support
* Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and integrity of all company systems, ensuring seamless operation.
* Guide and support the IT team by prioritizing tasks and addressing advanced technical issues.
* Provide multi-level support across departments to resolve system and application issues.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT-related issues, focusing on Microsoft 365, Azure, SQL, and business-critical applications.


User Support
* Provide users with detailed technical support, analyzing and resolving complex issues, and offering recommendations for improvements.
* Collaborate with users to design complex system or network solutions and may serve as a user liaison for large projects.
* Available for on-call support as needed for after-hours assistance.


General Responsibilities

* Manage time effectively to meet both personal and team goals that align with company objectives.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network systems support.
* 5+ years of experience in server management.
* 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure.
* 3+ years of experience in scripting, particularly PowerShell.
* 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
* 3+ years of knowledge in cybersecurity practices.


Technical Skills
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Understanding of client-server and internet system architectures.
* Working knowledge of networking standards and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

* Experience with additional scripting languages, such as Linux scripts or Python.
* Relevant certifications, such as VMware, Microsoft, or Cisco.
