Job Description:

Established organization is seeking a Loan Officer/Underwriter specifically with experience in the Construction industry. Pay range: $80-103k DOE



Responsibilities:



  • Underwrite new loan applications and establish relationships with new customers.

  • Address the credit needs of both existing and prospective clients.

  • Provide financial and credit analysis consultations, including verifying collateral valuations.

  • Collaborate with Loan Originators/Business Development Officers to prepare loan proposals for management and loan committee review.

  • Support the Business Development Officer/Branch Manager in executing business plans and marketing strategies to meet the Bank's financial and CRA objectives.

  • Manage ongoing client relationships and loan portfolios, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with annual renewals and loan/financial covenants.

  • Monitor existing accounts for potential issues or suspicious activity, applying problem account management practices in accordance with regulations and Bank policies.

  • Promote and cross-sell additional Bank products and services.

  • Offer leadership, training, and support to less experienced staff members within the branch's lending unit.

  • Adhere to the Bank's BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, credit administration, or executive management.




Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in originating and underwriting commercial loans, including term loans, lines of credit, and deposits, with a proven track record in business development.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, economic trends, and loan origination, along with strong business development capabilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.
