About This Position CRJ wants you to join our growing team of compassionate and dependable Assistant Program Manager to support the wonderful individuals we serve! This is a full-time, 40-hours/week, non-exempt position that will be working in our Winchendon, MA location. This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting rate of $21/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates and supervises daily residential and program activities including supervision of staff, maintenance of residence, and teaching personal care of the consumers.
Organizes and facilitates opportunities for community integration in leisure and vocational areas for all consumers as well as maintaining open communications with the consumers family, service coordinators and responsible outside Departments.
Keeps consumers accountable to the rules of the program and keeps track of consumers to ensure they are where they are scheduled to be.
Ensures all the proper individual records and reports are created plus handles the training of new staff.
Manages program funds and supervises personal finances for all consumers.
Researches and utilizes all available means of therapy in relation to each client’s individual needs.
Implement all behavior plans, ISP objectives, ADL’s, disciplines and recreational activities as designated by the Director of MR Services or the Assistant Program Director.
Evaluate staff performance at least annually and provide on-going supervision to all staff
Job Qualifications
Knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Occupational Safety and Health Act guidelines, pro-active alternatives for change (PAC)
Background in human services with strong communication skills, negotiation skills and good interpersonal skills
Previous experiences in a human service environment a plus
About Us Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
