Serves as clinical expert and professional resource for the nurses beyond the unit level; mentors and coaches other nurses to advance in their development.
Provides nursing leadership in the development and implementation of patient population/organizational level evidence based protocols/procedures.
Develops CNI, CNII, and SCNIs to effectively function in unit based roles.
Advances excellence in collaboration with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care on the patient's continuum; models independent advocacy for patient/family needs.

Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required. BSN with specialty certification or Master Degree in a health related field required. Current BLS certification required. Must meet all unit specific certification requirements (ACLS, PAL, NRP). Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
