Qualifications
Consistent with the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Patient Care Technician I works under the delegated authority and supervision from the Registered Nurse. To qualify for the position, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Candidate must have current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Maryland required. Candidate must have a current AHA BLS certification. Telemetry and ICCU PCT must pass a basic arrhythmia exam and/or course and have the ability to recognize critical rhythms and seek intervention within six (6) months of employment.
