The Benefits Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the identification of business needs and the translation into application software requirements to support operations and production
How you will make an impact:
Collects and analyzes data about business needs, assists in determining specific business application software requirements, and ensures requirements are incorporated into system designs and testing.
Builds and enters custom benefit plans with the appropriate plan provisions and state mandates for various medical products.
Researches and responds to standard inquiries from various departments.
Provides onsite support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Has an understanding of state mandates and the plan provisions contained in the certificate of insurance.
This is an entry level position to Analyst roles.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and any experience in claims processing, previous medical health care or analytical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
2 years experience in claims and processing, previous medical health care or analytical experience preferred.
Certified Professional Coder certification preferred.
