This position will be in person during training for the first six months and then will offer flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. It is Monday - Friday with core work hours for HRSD being 8AM - 430PM, we are flexible for variations in these hours. In addition, it will be necessary to attend meetings before and after these core hours both virtually and in-person.

Brief Description:
Under broad guidance, the Benefits Specialist will be responsible for assisting employees with benefits, maintain employee database, on-line benefit enrollment database, manage all insurance billings, and maintain employee benefit/medical files. Involves frequent people contact, and a working knowledge of the company benefits, policies and procedures and Federal/State/Local regulations and maintain vendor relationships.
Job Requirements:
Education
Required • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management or related field
Experience
Required • Three years of benefits related experience to include communicating benefits to employees and billing reconciliation
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
Required • Valid driver's license from state of residence
Desired • Professional certification such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar.
