What You Will Be Responsible ForResponsible for all incoming samples for retail, wholesale, and photographyResponsible for the sample room making sure that samples are organized, put away at the end of each day, properly labeled and shelvedResponsible for organizing and maintaining the fabric/trims library.Managing, reviewing and communicating seasonal lab dip colors.Receive, unpack, photograph, label, track and record all incoming samples for multiple channels of the businessReview and comment on samples for quality call outs in both development and production phase with our vendorsDaily communication on progress/updates with our vendorsCreate, Maintain and Manage WIP reports for each vendorMaintain line sheet process, own data entry for all products in the Product Lifecycle Management SystemDisplay samples on appropriate Seasonal Shelving/AreaEnsure that samples are organized and moved from product rooms, to sample archivesResponsible for bi-annual review of archival sample areas and for directing obsolete samples to the company sample sale.Shipping samples/fabric out to vendors as requested by multiple channel leadsCreating and setting up styles/skus (data entry) into our ERP (order management system)Maintain accuracy of PLM and ERP systemPrepare salesman sample (SMS) & Top of Production (TOP) requestsIdentify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and simplicityReceive, unpack, photograph, label and record all samples.Organizing samples for different needs in different areas of office.Collaborate in process to organize samples in new office space.Communicate weekly sample WIPs to vendors and monitor development stages.Order or ship out fabric/trims for timely sample development.Create and Organize Animal Farm patches in Binders according to Vendor and approval statusIdentify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency.Responsible to setup and oversee mid to low complexity styles from concept through product approval.Organize daily workflow that supports GTM deliverables and development timelines.Create, update and ensure accuracy of specs and color throughout the season.Skills and Experience Required2-3 years of work experience or equivalent experience in product development or production; preferably in retail/fashion spaceKnowledge of development/production cycle timelineProficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; bonus if you have experience in the Adobe Suite, PLM systems & NetSuitePassion and excitement for the retail/fashion industry (super bonus: you love hats!)Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints; learn on-the-fly.Strong communication (written & oral), problem-solving and follow up skills; must act as a proactive team playerExceptional organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple prioritiesA sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks.Able to work as a member of a team.Strong work ethics and a can do, lets get it done attitude.PayExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed within this classification.
