What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Supervisor, Safety, Facility & Maintenance will lead and coordinate the activities of both Safety & Facility Monitors and Facilities and Maintenance Monitors to ensure high-quality, consistent service delivery across all operational areas. This role emphasizes both in office and hands-on, in-field supervision, with a focus on maintaining full compliance with WMATA standards and requirements.

What you’ll do:
Assist with contractor review of fleet condition, fleet maintenance compliance, drug and alcohol policy adherence, vehicle operator training and standards and street service
Manage daily operational tasks such as on-street observations, facility inspections, and fleet maintenance reviews, prioritizing safety, efficiency, protocol adherence, and regulatory compliance at every level
Conduct scheduled and random site visits and inspections to assess contractor performance and compliance
Conduct location reviews to evaluate accessibility and unsafe stops or conditions
Respond to and investigate accidents and provide on-site coordination and assistance at the accident scene
Will ensure that safety and comfort features are in good working order (i.e. brakes, tire tread, signals, horn, seat belts, and air conditioning/heating, etc.)
Observe driver behavior, driving records, handling of customers, and timeliness of transports
Assist with customer, location or vehicle related issues
Monitor service delivery by observing operators on route in real time
Respond to WMATA and achieve all deliverables in a timely manner
Observe, document and evaluate paratransit operations
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and briefings
What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
Associate’s degree required
Bachelors’ Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a safety and streets role required
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a facilities and maintenance required
A minimum of two (2) years of quality related experience required
Extensive knowledge of MetroAccess protocols
Extensive knowledge of both field monitoring and facilities and maintenance
Extensive knowledge of MD, DC, and VA service area
Valid/current driver’s license and a clean driving record
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervisor
Self-motivation and superior time management skills
Knowledge of, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Trapeze
Proven experience dealing with conflict management and resolution

Previous experience in Medicaid or state public assistance programs preferred
Previous auditing experience preferred

Min Salary: $52,720/ annually
Max Salary: $67,500/ annually
