Job Description:


The intern will gain significant knowledge in the logistics industry and gain real-world business experience and skills that will prepare them for their future career. This role will provide support through experiential learning. This role within the Safety department involves close collaboration with various sub-departments of Safety, numerous business units across the enterprise, including IT, and external vendors. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive visibility into the overall operations of the organization at an early stage in one's career.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced professionals to gain insights into the industry and company operations.
  • Assist in the reporting of key safety metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with other department to achieve mutual goals.
  • Supports interactions with professional drivers of the phone and through other communication channels.
  • Obtain an understanding of Platform Science and how its use is integral to the operation.
  • Utilize DOMO for dashboard creation and data analytics.

Qualifications

  • Ability to take verbal/written instruction and execute with confidence
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team when needed.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pursuing higher education in business administration, finance, technology or similar field required. Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Prior customer service experience a plus

Competitive Compensation

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.

Pay Range: $13.57-$18.55

Pay Grade: 1
