The National Accounts Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage the Western Region Territory for Umbrella and Excess Casualty business
Analyze risk data of proposed insureds to identify hazards and exposures for new and renewal business
Implement underwriting rationale through exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing of individual risks
Adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines
Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and to maintain renewal business via quality service
Collaborating with other product lines to provide full product support to the client
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or above and/or insurance certifications
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in underwriting excess casualty business
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new business
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills
Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environment
Customer-oriented approach

For CA only: The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
