Description: Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager for their plant about an hour north of Corpus Christi TX. Under the guidance of the HR Director, the Multi-site HR Manager works within corporate policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties:
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Follow and support all Company Safety, GMP and HACCP policies.
Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and laws relating to employment.
Solid knowledge of state and local requirements.
Develop recruiting strategies for open positions.
Create programs to enhance the employee experience thereby positively affecting retention and engagement.
Analyze wage and salary reports to determine competitive compensation plan.
Develops and administers employee retention and recognition programs.
Ability to assess performance gaps.
Develop and present training programs to drive performance improvement.
Responsibility for maintenance of HRIS systems and payroll.
Administer and communicate all benefit plans.
Ensure annual performance appraisals are conducted.
Facilitate Employee Relations events and activities.
Write and update employee programs and facility policies.
Represents the Company in unemployment compensation matters.
Successful candidate will serve as an influential business partner to the site leadership team, providing guidance and coaching to managers, supervisors and hourly employees in a variety of areas.
Conducts investigations, ensuring confidentiality, as necessary.
Provide HR support to another site in TX as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree preferred but not required
SHRM or PHR would be great, but not required
Experience supporting HR Responsibilities with 150+ employees at a single site in a large facility
Excellent employee engagement and retention experience and knowledge
5+ years of consecutive HR Management experience in a manufacturing facility
Strong knowledge of both HR and Operations for Manufacturing to be a true partner to the plant manager in achieving complex solutions
Experience using various ERP, ATS, and Microsoft software
Bilingual - Spanish would be highly preferred
