A Day in the Life
As the Associate BP Specialist, you will join the Operations Excellence (OpEx) team supporting Regulatory Affairs and Technical Communication at the Diabetes Northridge, CA site. In this role, you will work in conjunction with the OpEx team, technical SMEs, cross-functional and onsite teams for project and event scheduling, preparation, and execution.

This position is onsite in Northridge, CA (Hybrid/3 days week)

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Plan, perform, and implement continuous improvement initiatives, acting as a change agent, helping the organization through our Continuous Improvement journey

  • Assist in developing metrics that provide data for process measurements, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities, measuring performance against process requirements

  • Assist in collecting data to identify root cause of problems and initiates improvements based on the data

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports

  • Assist with planning and coordination of department programs

  • Support in-person and virtual training sessions, including attendance rosters, training records, and interactive elements

  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs; prepare training materials; develop course content drafts or outlines; collaborate with technical SMEs; and perform supervised facilitation of classes

  • Review published training content, update SharePoint sites, administer surveys, and collate feedback to ensure training content is current, relevant, and effective

  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels and procuring inventory for in-person product training

  • Assist with department meetings, including scheduling, onsite logistics, data processing, and in-meeting support

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice to Have


  • 0-2 years' experience in working with development of written, instructor-lead, and interactive training materials

  • Experience managing projects

  • Strong communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

  • Familiarity with course design, development, and assessments

  • Experience with learning theory and instructional design techniques

  • Good practical experience with Microsoft Office, particularly with PowerPoint Familiarity with technical writing and/or regulatory affairs for medical devices Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Loop, and Teams

  • Familiarity with video editing software, Premier, Camtasia, etc.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$57,600.00 - $86,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
