Position Summary:
The Quality Control Tech 2 works in the Quality Control department and performs general quality control quality assurance testing and review activities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), company policy and safety regulations.
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities:
Product and raw material quarantine, inspection, and release.
Review and release of processed customer orders and records.
Review and release of production manufacturing records.
Environmental sampling
Ensures compliance to departmental procedures.
Understand and follow product drawings.
Lab cleaning.
Follow Quality Systems Regulations and established procedures.
General data / documentation review and archive.
Understand and follow the established corporate safety standard, local facility operating procedures and safety policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to read and interpret data to reach a sound decision; read, interpret, and relay department requirements to other areas or staff.
Proficiency in math is required.
Ability to work in areas that contain radioactive materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in related field
Experience in an FDA regulated industry and/or QA/QC environment
Proficient in the use of a PC with an intermediate level of keyboarding skills
Proficient in the use of JDEdwards ERP System
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma, or equivalent
One (1) year quality control or manufacturing related experience.
Previous experience in a laboratory or medical device environment
Basic computer skills
Ability to work all shifts and overtime
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates and may occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open cubicle, warehouse or manufacturing lab environment. Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
