Food preparation at 100% recipe adherence. Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, portioning, and serving food items.
Ability to use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
Warmly greets, acknowledges, and takes guests drink and food order within 30 seconds of them entering the concept.
Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system.
Handles money, processes credit and debit card, makes change, while complying with the company's Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products. Make recommendations to guests to fit their needs, especially when questioned about potential food allergens.
Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
Responsibilities:
Prepare food items with 100% recipe adherence, following proper seasoning, cooking, and portioning guidelines
Efficiently and safely use kitchen equipment, including knives and slicers
Greet guests warmly and take food and drink orders within 30 seconds of their arrival
Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately process payments and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions
Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, make recommendations, and address potential food allergen concerns
Maintain a clean and fast-paced work environment
Create and deliver first-class experiences for travelers, whether working with national brands or local iconic concepts
Adhere to company's Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures
Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Compensation: $18.50 hourly plus average tips of $6-$8 per hour
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems preferred
Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Knowledge of BBQ cuisine and cooking techniques a plus
Passion for providing exceptional customer service to travelers
