Lincoln Electric's Sales Engineer Development Program is the ideal entry point to our Customer Solutions and Technical Sales group. Your experience with customer interaction, problem solving, and solution selling puts you in position to follow any number of career paths, including sales management, product management, marketing and communications-in addition to core engineering-related opportunities based on academic specialty. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be transferred to one of our U.S. district sales offices.
Responsibilities:
Participate in a 7-month comprehensive sales training program at the Euclid facility, including:
Complete 8 weeks of The Lincoln Electric Weld School hands-on weld training, including periodic welding skills test
Develop a thorough understanding of arc welding safety issues, fundamentals and processes.
Develop a strong knowledge of all Lincoln Electric equipment, consumables, accessories and service products. Learn to apply these products to the appropriate application.
Participate in various soft skills training, such as public speaking, written communication skills, selling skills, presentation skills, time management negotiation, etc.
Assist with product demonstrations, training and other sales specific assignments.
Travel to various trade shows and end user events to assist and apply your welding knowledge.
Travel to a district sales office for a week of training in the field.
Complete a guaranteed cost reduction project at an actual end user location.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a Business-related degree; minimum GPA of 2.5
Basic knowledge of sales and customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be highly motivated and self-confident.
Overnight travel may be required.
Willing to relocate.
Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
