The Visual Merchandising Manager will report into the Senior Manager, Global Retail Marketing as a part of YETI's award-winning Creative Studio team and will be responsible for the creation of visual merchandising direction for all global channels with a heightened focus on YETI owned retail stores. This role supports the overall customer experience of the YETI brand through the lens of product placement and storytelling, which is a pivotal component to the success of new initiatives as YETI retail grows. Cross-functional collaboration with the internal Product, Marketing, Digital, Sales and Wholesale Account Marketing teams, as well as external vendors and agencies is a key component to this role. Your contributions will help drive excellence in visual merchandising, elevate the consumer experience and make a business impact to all YETI's retail locations.
Responsibilities:
• Drive visual merchandising strategy to help promote sales and brand identity in brick-and-mortar retail environments across all YETI direct and wholesale channels
• Collaborates with product teams during the product development process and creates product/merchandising renders to support the Wholesale sell-in process
• Create directives, planograms and toolkits for all product and seasonal launches to support various global channels
• Create directives specific to new store openings
• Manage multiple projects across multiple channels simultaneously
• Work with store and sales teams on training for all visual standards and processes
• Supports the execution of visual merchandising resets and launches at key retail locations and key new store openings
• Support in off-site activities such as road shows, trade shows and pop up's when additional support is needed
• 20% or more travel for new store openings, with high seasonal variation
Qualifications and Attributes:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• At least 6 years of visual merchandising experience with multi-door and omni-channel brands
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills that pertain to producing creative display and communications within a corporate work environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and manage relationships with cross-functional team members
• Possess excellent presentation and communication skills in order to effectively relay strategies
• Have strong comprehension of display production, visual merchandising standards and monthly floor set processes
• Experience with short-term and long-term training in relation to visual merchandising responsibilities across the field, as well as alignment of training internally
• Consider yourself to be flexible, quick-thinking and are able to work within a fast-paced work environment
• Intermediate to advance proficiency level in the following areas: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite and Planogram software
