What You'll Work On
As a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Mass General Brigham Integrated Care, you'll have the unique opportunity to join our center in Salem, NH. Our Tuscan Village ambulatory center is now hiring for outpatient surgery, allowing you to be a part of delivering exceptional care in a world-class facility.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, we're looking for candidates who possess the following:
Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based care setting, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to deliver high-quality care
Skill in addressing the needs of short-stay patients as this is an ambulatory surgical center
Effective interpersonal skills to work with surgeons, proceduralists, and staff in a variety of cases
Flexibility to work according to the OR patient schedule, making changes as needed
Proficiency in using electronic patient record systems, specifically Epic
Fluent verbal and written language skills
Desired cultural competence and language skills for the patient population
What You'll Do
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Obtaining health and medical history, performing physical examinations, and constructing problem lists
Performing preoperative evaluations, including phone screenings
Collecting, recording, and interpreting patient data
Ordering appropriate laboratory, radiologic, and other diagnostic studies
Initiating consultations and referrals when necessary
Administering anesthesia to appropriate patients across a range of medical procedures
Monitoring patient's condition during anesthesia and treating physiologic responses as needed
Assisting and supporting patients throughout the entire anesthesia process, from preparation to recovery
Making professional decisions for anesthesia care based upon a comprehensive health assessment
Maintaining professional standards of healthcare before, during, and after an anesthetic
Preparing and evaluating the safety of anesthetic equipment, supplies, and drugs
Working with the staff of the pharmacy department in handling and use of drugs and related agents
Inserting invasive monitoring lines required for patient care during anesthesia and interpreting the data
Providing observation and care in the immediate post-procedural period
Obtaining informed consent for anesthesia and related procedures

Qualifications
About You
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are licensed, registered, advanced practice nurses who have completed a post graduate certificate, a master's, or doctorate degree in anesthesia. Nurse anesthetists must become certified by successfully completing a national qualifying examination in the specialty of anesthesia. To maintain their license to practice anesthesia, CRNAs must be recertified biannually by attending 40 contact hours of continuing education programs. CRNAs must have current ACLS (required) and PALS (recommended) certifications and continue to maintain these certifications.
