This Treasury position reports to Capital Finance, while performing work for 3 areas within the Office of the Treasurer -- Capital Finance, Investments and Financial Analysis ("Investments"), and Treasury Operations. Within Capital Finance, this position will serve as the primary backup for multiple financial reporting, financial analysis, or accounting functions for which this position may become primary as needed.
Department Specific Responsibilities
Serves as cash flow forecasting forecaster backup.
State appropriation claims calculator and submitter backup (claims include operating and special, fee replacement, capital cash and repair and rehabilitation).
Serves as calculator of self-liquidity reporting of investments to rating agencies backup.
Revamps complex workbooks summarizing debt entry activity or capital financing activity to streamline updates and limit manual entry.
Manages external agencies backup.
Serves as IU-held endowments and quasi-endowments accounting and reporting backup.
Performs update within University Financial Model (UFM) for most recent audited financial.
Performs update for most recent fiscal year in Parking financial workbook.
Performs investment analysis as needed.
Serves as calculator of lockbox metrics backup.
Serves as updater of cash worksheet for Money Movement backup.
Serves as calculator of bank analysis fees backup.
General Responsibilities
Performs routine independent analysis of daily cash flows, cash payments, interest charges and earnings, and other financial and cash flows metrics.
Reconciles account statements and cash transactions; troubleshoots and corrects basic and moderately complex errors, escalating more complex errors as needed.
Serves as a liaison to external funding sources and ensures organizational accounts maintain compliance with applicable standards.
Reviews investment reports and assists in performing accounting entries.
Responds to employee inquiries and requests and explains fiscal policies and procedures.
May assist in the review and preparation of documents related to the bond issuance process.
May provide assistance to Finance Assistants.
May provide organizational treasury training.

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE

2 years in relevant field

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$60,000 - $65,000 per year depending upon qualifications
