Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities: Gexpro Services, located in Irving, TX, is looking for a talented, bright and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a hands-on collaborator and strategic partner that supports the hiring needs for locations across the US. You will play a central role in bringing critical talent to Gexpro Services so we can deliver on our commitments to customers, vendors and one another. The position is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Responsible for the end-to-end candidate experience: identifying candidates, screening, interview coordination with hiring managers, extending job offers, completing pre-employment requirements and onboarding
Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, screening and selection and conversion approaches
Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and principles are incorporated throughout the steps in the hiring process, from pipeline development to conversion
Identify and execute opportunities to improve the candidate journey, such as reducing time to hire
Source and attract applicants using multiple sourcing channels, such as: job boards, social media, job fairs, etc.
Assess applicant's relevant skills, knowledge, soft skills, and aptitudes through resume review and interviews
Interface with hiring manager regarding hiring needs and current prospects
Actively build talent pipelines for current and future roles
Monitor, recommend and apply HR recruiting best practices
Provide well-documented recruiting reports to the business; utilize data to make decisions and recommendations
Act as a point of contact and build positive candidate relationships during the selection process.
Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
Manage the relationships with external recruitment platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, JobTarget, etc.
Champion ATS process and system for efficiency
Lead, identify and spearhead HR process innovation and improvement initiatives relating to HR including:
Incorporating and enhancing technology into our processes (Litmos enhancements, SmartSheet, Tango, Whova, Slido, etc.)
Representing the HR team on cross functional projects supporting business and customer needs
Additional HR duties as assigned if time requirements for recruitment decrease due to cyclical job openings
Talent Acquisition Specialist Skills, Knowledge, and Education
At least 3 years talent acquisition experience; preferably in a warehouse and distribution environment
Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to effectively conduct interviews through various mediums; phone, in-person, video, etc.
Experience using recruiting software (Applicant Tracking System).
Exhibits a high sense of urgency and tenacity while maintaining quality and efficiency
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
Experience managing competing demands through strong project management and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Enthusiastic and positive approach with all you do
Ability to travel 25%
