ATA Services Inc. is currently seeking to hire experienced Administrative Assistants to work on a temporary assignment with the State of NM – Environmental Department.
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour with weekly pay
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 31, 2024
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
In office – Santa Fe
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Drinking Water Bureau Utility Operator Certification Program staff to aid in the mission of ensuring that the utility operators across the state are appropriately certified which will assists in the protection of public health.
Duties:
Answer phones.
Deliver messages and help ensure continuous phone coverage for the Utility Operator Certification Program (UOCP) main phone line.
Assess customers’ needs and respond in a professional manner.
Record all inbound and outbound calls in a daily log, including customer complaints.
Ensure complaints are routed to the appropriate UOCP staff within one business day of receipt.
Compose correspondence, as needed.
Work with UOCP Team Lead to prepare and mail packets in response to public requests for information.
Assist with processing information requests in accordance with the Inspection of Public Records Act requirements and department guidelines, as requested by UOCP Team Lead.
Program Support:
Provide program specific administrative support, as assigned, to response to questions from the public verbally or written in an email, data gathering, data entry, provide direction from a script to callers, and other administrative support tasks.
Complete all assigned tasks by established deadlines.
General Conduct and Customer Service
Follow State, Department, and Bureau policies and guidelines regarding code of conduct, professional standards, and implementation of job assignments. Recognize service to customers, both internal and external, as a top priority. Anticipate customer needs and provide more than the minimal expectations of customers.
Follow applicable safety regulations and procedures; promptly report any defective equipment and unsafe working conditions; recognize and address unsafe working conditions or practices; apply safe working practices in daily job duties; keep up to date of safety practices and techniques; promptly report all injuries received on the job.
