@Orchard LLC, is a subcontractor to the VA, assisting with various contract roles within the hospital system. We have a contract opportunity for a Board Certified Otolaryngologist Physician to support the VA's hospital facilities in Columbia, SC.

About the role

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care in Otolaryngology, ensuring excellence in patient outcomes through operative procedures, postoperative care, and consultative services. This role demands clinical expertise, dedication to patient care, and a commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be present on time for scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physical presence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical Otolaryngology services including the full range of ENT Surgical procedures.
Typical surgical procedures include, but are not limited to:
  • Thyroidectomy.
  • Parotidectomy.
  • Sinus Surgery.
  • Head/Neck cancer removal.
  • Pan endoscopy
Patient Care Responsibilities.
  • Be present in the operating suite for all Otolaryngology procedures.
  • Physician rounds shall be conducted on postoperative ENT patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and on the wards.
  • All cases will be discussed in morbidity and mortality conferences, and the physician will provide appropriate information to the COR for inclusion in departmental reports.
  • Provide consultative services at the patient's bedside if the patient is not ambulatory and, in the clinic, setting if the patient can report to the outpatient clinic.
  • Procedures shall be scheduled for completion within 30 days of the date of the consultation.
Your background and qualification will include.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Certification as an Otolaryngologist.
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years of continuous Board-Certified experience as an Otolaryngologist.
