Who are we looking for?
Our Southeast Water Business is growing and looking for a Construction Manager to join their team in Bowie, MD! In this role, you will provide project management during the construction phase of our water & wastewater projects throughout the region (i.e. pumping stations, pipelines, treatment facilities, etc.).

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Collaborating and providing project oversight by maintaining communications between Owner, Designer, and Contractor to deliver all projects on time, at or under budget, and to the owner's expected standard of quality
Being the primary project contact and maintaining a strong Owner relationship; must represent the Owners' best interest in all project decisions
Providing input concerning constructability and biddably during design and developing project construction schedules and budgets
Overseeing Contractor's compliance with all requirements of project design specifications and drawings via onsite inspection staff
Processing pay estimates, make appropriate recommendations to Owner on payment issues.
Providing document control including processing all project correspondence, documents, and drawings. Prepare various technical reports
Managing on-site inspection staff
Scheduling inspection staff for other GHD projects
Be responsible for overall financial performance of consulting services contract, including invoicing, budget tracking and change management
Providing appropriate responses and/or recommendations to Owner on construction issues; consult with engineering staff on all technical matters; notify all parties of issues that impact critical path schedule
Negotiating Change Orders on behalf of the Owner and coordinated with the Design Engineer, as required
Conduct and coordinate project closeout
Assisting with business development efforts and proposal preparation
Assisting with equipment and process startup, testing, and optimization
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer's (PE) License
CCM certifications a plus
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in municipal water, wastewater or linear infrastructure construction projects which includes acting in a construction management and/or resident engineering role
Experience with various document management systems, including Primavera, ProCore, E-builder, and others
Strong experience in schedule reviews and confirming compliance with the contract specifications
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including technical report writing
