Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Billing Manager will oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, manage customer billing inquiries, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This is a key role in maintaining efficient financial operations, and the ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a solid understanding of billing practices.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the end-to-end billing process, including generating invoices, processing payments, managing billing cycles, and ensuring timely invoicing in accordance with customer contracts and payment terms.

  • Ensure the accuracy of all invoices and billing-related documents, reviewing and resolving discrepancies in billing data. Conduct regular audits of billing processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding billing inquiries, disputes, and payment status. Proactively resolve any billing issues or concerns, providing excellent customer service.

  • Prepare and analyze billing reports for management, including revenue recognition, aged receivables, and billing trends. Provide recommendations for process improvements and help identify any billing process inefficiencies.

  • Work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to align billing processes with company goals and customer agreements. Support any system improvements and upgrades that impact billing processes.

  • Ensure all billing processes are in compliance with industry regulations and company policies, and stay updated on relevant tax and accounting changes that affect billing procedures.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CPAs) are a plus.


  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in billing, finance, or accounting

    • Experience with billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced).

    • Strong knowledge of billing procedures, invoicing, and financial controls.




  • Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
