The Planning Services Student Assistant is responsible for supporting The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Planning Services Department. The Student Assistant supports facility planners with investigation and analysis of space requests. Support to Interior Design planners, Sr. Planners, Project teams, Environmental Branding, and Signage & Wayfinding includes documenting project work through CAD and Revit drawings and excel spreadsheets. Assistance in areas such as furniture and finish selection extends to all mission areas of the Medical Center space including Clinical, Research, and Academic. Support for signage and graphics includes surveying, concept development, and installation oversight. Global departmental support involves benchmarking research, standards development and documentation.
Education and Experience
The Student Assistant is working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, Graphics Design, or similar degree. Completion of at least one semester of course work related to the degree is expected. The person should be dependable and organized, detail oriented, and demonstrate good communication skills (verbal, written, graphic). Must be able to work in 2-4 hour blocks of time and a minimum of 8 hours per week during regular business hours.
