Summary of Duties:
The Office of Admissions is seeking candidates interested in working in the Transfer Center (TC) for Policy and Resources as a Transfer Center Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate services and activities necessary to support recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students with transfer credit at Washington State University and provides transfer information and resources to internal and external constituents. Specifically, the TC Coordinator serves as a source of information for prospective and current students with transfer credit and acts as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
The TC Coordinator will assist with coordination and development of tools and websites designed to create efficient transfer credit pathways to degree programs across the system; the position will also support marketing and outreach efforts and lead various presentations. The TC Coordinator will process and track course equivalency requests, review transfer courses for equivalency, and connect directly with academic department contacts regarding articulation. This position will also develop and support Transfer Center activities related to academic advising, transfer student seminars and workshops, and other initiatives to support transfer student retention and success.
Required Qualifications:
Transfer Center Coordinator 1:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Transfer Center Coordinator 2:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience working with students in a higher education setting.
Experience in student service areas, program development, recruitment, and/or academic advising.
Experience in establishing new student services programs and procedures.
Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.
Experience in understanding admissions and recruitment and academic advising.
Demonstrated understanding of academic catalogs and curriculum evaluation.
Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours.

Transfer Center Coordinator 1: $3,750.85- $5,397.56
Transfer Center Coordinator 2: $4,062.00 - $6,092.84
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Background Check: This position has been designated by the department to require a background check because it requires access to children or vulnerable adults as defined by RCW 74.34, engages in law enforcement, requires security clearance, interacts with WSU students in a counseling or advising capacity, has access to personal identifying and/or financial information, unsupervised access to university buildings/property, or other business-related need. A background check will not be completed until an initial determination of qualification for employment has been made.
