The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a Program Director for the Center for Research on Vermont. The position is to begin January 1, 2025.
* Managing all aspects of the Center for Research on Vermont, a student-driven laboratory for understanding the social, environmental, economic and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont. Director responsibilities include:
* Overseeing research on vital issues affecting the region
* Connecting students with internships, regional officials and institutions to provide meaningful experiences in civic life
* Producing a regular research newsletter that compiles research and findings from across the state
* Overseeing publication of non-fiction books by regional authors on Vermont-centered topics
* Amplifying the reach of scholarly work from the College of Arts & Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
* Have a Master's or other advanced degree;* Be a full-time staff or faculty member at UVM;* Have skills, experience and interest to manage the administrative affairs of the Department;
* Research or teaching experience on the social, environmental, economic and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont; and,
* Experience managing interns, fundraising, and managing/working in research centers at the university level is desirable.
