Summary:
Under direct supervision, understands and provides technical knowledge and the ability to test, repair and maintain lower end/complex medical devices. Equipment also includes electronic test equipment and various types of medical equipment. Testing will be done in our facility and will involve staff interaction. Supports and maintains MHS safe Environment of Care.
Responsibilities:
Conducts testing; ensuring compliance to codes; following manufacturer's instructions, documenting test results. Performs troubleshooting and repair, calling for special service when needed.Maintains lower end/complex biomedical equipment by adjusting, calibrating, testing and documenting performance.Maintains a safe and organized production/test lab.Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory and equipment sterilization, anticipating needs; managing orders.Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory and equipment sterilization, anticipating needs; managing orders.

Required Work Experience: Entry-level (0) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of medical equipment. One year of relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of medical equipment (preferred) Other Information: Additional Education Info: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics, Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirement. Equivalency for degree: High school diploma plus two years of experience.
