Job Description
Knowledge of all phases of ship construction and repair; through understanding of ship distributive systems. Familiarity with regulatory body requirements, repair procedures, test procedures; and other Company procedures such as standard procedures and departmental operating instructions. Computer skills. (MS Office and MS Project). Proven leadership ability, with capability to motivate people; and to interact with all levels of personnel and management. Must have prior experience with the below listed systems and processes.
Manages Auxiliaries, Deck Gear, Weapons Handling , and Damage Control on assigned Contract(s).
Ensures that required deviations from approved test documents are concurred with and supported by the responsible department. Directs the recording and authentication of data required by test documents; supports Quality Assurance in the certification and verification of test completions.
Coordinates vendor activities pertaining to HM&E equipment installed aboard the vessel, ensuring control of test status and re-entry control. Executes Ripouts and ensures Mechanical Tag-Outs are properly enforced and maintained as required by test for retesting work instructions and procedures.
Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within command media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.

Basic Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience in Combat Systems Mechanical Battery Alignment/Accuracy Control.
Must be willing to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree or Apprenticeship Graduate with strong knowledge of geometry.
Documented use of precision alignment tools such as laser tracker, FARO Arm and 3-D Total Station.
Experience on DDG, LHA, NSC, LPD and DDX water front alignment using CSAM requirements.
Computer skills such as Auto CAD, Excel and Spatial Analyzer.
