Ultimate Staffing has partnered with a local organization in West Haven seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for a temporary position. This role would oversee the site-wide facilities maintenance program, ensuring the upkeep and repair of facilities, equipment, and buildings. Supervise the Maintenance Department's daily operations, manage maintenance schedules, and handle administrative tasks like training, record-keeping, parts inventory, and compliance reporting. Assign work to the maintenance team, address work order backlogs, and develop technical training programs for staff.

Core Responsibilities
Ensure 24/7 maintenance support for all site facilities, equipment, and buildings, using internal staff and external resources as needed.
Maintain detailed records for all maintenance activities, including work hours, equipment logs, training, work orders, and inventory.
Evaluate and prioritize work requests, assigning resources and timelines for completion.
Administer preventive maintenance programs, keeping accurate electronic records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Oversee union and non-union trade staff, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure facilities and equipment function reliably.
Decide when to use contractors versus in-house staff based on technical needs and workload.
Recommend procedural changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
BS degree or equivalent training in facilities maintenance.
Minimum 10 years in facility maintenance, with supervisory experience.
Skills:
Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance software.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and environmental compliance.
Ability to coordinate repairs efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.
