Job Details:
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities and efforts of the Live Production team members in two of our Live facilities in Texas (Carthage and Center), in order to produce profitable quality products within a safe environment and in a timely manner that meets the needs of the customer.
This includes coordinating the Live Production units to achieve company-wide and individual complex goals with a minimum amount of waste or rework, establishing complex objectives, and identifying the requirements to meet production needs and providing leadership and direction in establishing a safe environment and a Good Neighbor policy with the community.
Other responsibilities include providing direction and assisting in the development of managers that can be promoted to higher levels of responsibility, ensuring company personnel and benefit policies are implemented properly, and evaluating various capital projects submitted by management to determine their feasibility. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.
Other duties include approving all new hires and overseeing personnel salaries and wages, managing the departmental managers to ensure a high level of product quality, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 10 plus years of plant or operations experience. 5 plus years Live Production p
oultry
management
experience
required.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for managing multiple groups of personnel who perform dissimilar tasks and activities in several different departments.
Travel: 10 or more trips per year.
