CVOR Surgical Technician PART TIME AND CALL REQUIREMENT Description of Position: Responsible for maintaining the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Required to assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during complex vascular, cardiovascular, and cardiothoracic procedures. To include open heart procedures. Assists with prompt turnover of surgical cases, case setup and proper care of surgical instruments and equipment. Performs delegated patient care duties. Receives direction from: Operating Room RN, Providers, Anesthesia Providers, Director of Perioperative Services and Nursing Manager. Gives direction to: Instrument Processor.
