• A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced OR Tech for a travel contract.

• Hold an active BLS, CST, and WA License.

Schedule Information

• Variety of shifts - Majority are 10 hour shifts for both RNs and CSTs.
• Start time for 10-hour shift is 0645, may request to come in early with an extensive case, evening shift is usually 1100-2230.

Unit Specific Information

• Unit OR
• Technically 9 rooms, utilizing 6 with two of which are specialty rooms (Cysto and Robotics).
• 15 avg cases per day, may start with less and take add-ons.
• Common types of cases: 60% ortho and podiatry. General, GYN, robotics, and spines.
• Call is approx. 1 shift per weekday for RN's and CSTs. Weekend call rotates with the team, usually one weekend a month, possibly more.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Holidays: Rotation with perm staff.
• Scrub Color/Provided: Provided.
• Tele: OR nurses not required. Anesthesia to read.
• Surgeon on call hours: Surgeon on call at night.
• IV Team: Yes.
• RT 24/7: Yes.
• Pharmacy 24/7: Until 11 pm.
• Floating: No.
• Floor specific orientation: Maximum of 3 days- depends on the skill set.
• Scrubbing required for RN's: No.

Additional Details

• BLS; Surgical Techs MUST HAVE ORTHO EXPERIENCE, robotics is a plus.
• MUST HAVE WA LICENSE at time of submittal.
