OurFaçade Accesspractice provides consulting services to architects, building owners, and developers. Our expertise helps solve complex building access challenges to facades at height. Through the design of façade access equipment, the team improves maintenance operations, maximizes property value, and increases building lifespan. We offer a range of services for the full building life cycle with the goal of helping clients execute an ambitious architectural vision. Our consulting services include system analysis, product research, detailed engineering design, construction support, and equipment failure investigations. The Role
We have an opportunity for an Engineer to join our Façade Access Practice in our San Francisco, CA office. This individual will be responsible for detailing façade access equipment and running relevant analyses, product and systems research, and coordinating project work with the team. Must be a conscientious, creative, detail-oriented professional with attentiveness to project management and client communications. Must possess a general understanding of buildings and project site planning, logistics, and typical machinery and equipment use.
Responsibilities
Analyzes façade access requirements for building maintenance on a variety of project types using BIM software.
Research products and systems to determine project specific suitability.
Interprets building codes and project/design/construction specifications.
Prepares system designs and equipment details in 2-D and 3-D formats for client communication.
Attends project design meetings and prepares details and reports for clients.
Interacts with team members and clients regarding project information.
Report and client communication document preparation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
0 to 3 years of professional work experience preferred.
Revit and BIM 2 and 3-dimensional drawing and modeling capable.
Bluebeam, InDesign, and project management software familiarity requested.
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is$79,000-$90,000annually.This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful California applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation.Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted byCaliforniaEqual Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
