Job Title: Process Development Engineer - Medical Devices


Job Purpose: Conduct process research, development, and upscaling for new medical device products. Evaluate existing technologies and design new methodologies, materials, machines, or processes as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

Process Research and Development:

• Conduct research and development for new medical device processes.


• Investigate and evaluate existing technologies.


• Design new methodologies, materials, machines, or processes.

Engineering Design:

• Design components, functional systems, prototypes, or specific products.


• Apply engineering analysis principles and blend technical knowledge with manufacturing practices.


• Identify and adapt or improve existing approaches based on previous experience.

Project Management:

• Ensure continuity of products and processes, including feasibility assessment, research, design, development, and compliance.


• Lead design reviews and manage action items.


• Ensure regulatory, statutory, and legislative compliance for all project work.

Decision Making:

• Interpret information to make decisions impacting the scope of work.


• Operate within clear guidelines and escalate issues outside direct experience for resolution.

Communication:

• Interact internally to interpret complex information.


• Exchange factual information externally with audiences unfamiliar with the subject.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (e.g., high school +10 years; Associate's +6 years; Master's +0 years).

  • Relevant work experience in process research, development, and upscaling for medical devices.
