Volt is immediately hiring for R&D Engineering Technician in Redmond, WA.
As an R&D Engineering Technician you will:
Prototyping
Assembly of prototype devices using microscope, tweezers, other existing tools.
Fabrication: operate 3d printer and other (proprietary) fab and assembly machines
STRETCH: Design and build simple tools and fixtures for prototype completion.
Test/Inspection
Evaluate new component designs with incoming inspection and other verification methods.
Evaluate prototypes using engineering test methods
Source, recommend, procure and quality new verification/test equipment
Evaluate new assembly processes (e.g. capability study)
Execute qualification, verification and validation protocols
STRETCH: develop new test/inspection methods from scratch
Design/development
Develop prototype-level assembly processes into manufacturing-level assembly processes (e.g. given a nominal process variable, identify and evaluate a process window); ensures processes are clear and exact
STRETCH: Original design or development of components, tools, and processes from spec/concept.

Education/Training:
Minimum 5 yrs work experience
Two year degree a plus
Prior technical experience a plus
Prior manufacturing/production experience a plus
Pay Rate: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
